A tribute to the distinct tastes of father and son, an artful blend of 9 to 10-year-old bourbon for Jimmy and a 14-year-old bourbon for Eddie harmonized into one through a second maturation.
Eddie’s father, famed Master Distiller Jimmy Russell’s love of mid-aged bourbons is no secret. To reflect his father’s tastes, Eddie hand-selected barrels aged between 9 and 10-years-old. To reflect his own passion for the complex characteristics that come with older bourbons, Eddie selected a small batch of carefully aged 14-year-old whiskey, and he artfully crafted these two profiles into one.
The magic is in the second maturation. Using new oak barrels specially toasted and charred, resting in one of his favorites timber rickhouses, Tyrone G; a first for Master’s Keep. The result is a masterful unity of taste and flavor. “One” is certainly a harmony that’s worth the wait.
