      Chinaco 50th Anniversary Añejo

      Beyond the Label

Chinaco was born in 1972 Our founder was Guillermo Gonzalez Diaz Lombardo.

The last tequila produced by him in the mid 90’s was Lot 89.

This lot was produced with the finest agave from the family ranch and later aged for almost three years in his favorite barrels.

This resulted in a very especial añejo that is 1/3 the last batch produced by our founder and 2/3 the best anejo we have produced in the last two decades with the same origins and process as the one our founder produced until the late 90s. Inside the aging cellars, we found our empty bottles of the 80s, and used these for this special collector’s item.

Chinaco Tequila proudly holds two distinct titles: it’s the only tequila produced in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas and the first premium tequila to become available in the US back in the 1980s, which changed the history of tequila in America forever.Chinaco’s distillery, La Gonzaleña, is a family-owned and operated business that can be traced back to the Cinco de Mayo battle in 1862 and is honored to exclusively produce Chinaco Tequila in three superb expressions—Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. At its core, Chinaco is a family business, a labor of love and superior tequila unlike any other.
